Local Election Candidate 2019
Limerick City North
I’m a self-employed working mother, eager to put in the work for the community and bring a fresh voice to Limerick City & County Council.
I have lived in Limerick and the Northside all my life, and care deeply about the locality and the Limerick we are cultivating for our children’s generation.

To introduce myself: I grew up in Caherdavin, as did my husband Conor O’Brien, and we live in Shannonvale along with our two children. Our families live in the area also and are very active in the community.

Education & work: I am a design graduate of Limerick School of Art & Design, LIT, and work primarily as a self-employed marketing and communications consultant. I also write a local newspaper column for over 12 years.

Food, culture & the arts: I am very active in the promotion of local food, festivals and events. I worked for Limerick City of Culture in 2014 on events such as the visit of the Giant Granny. I am co-founder of Limerick Food Group, the Pigtown Culture & Food Series, and creator of the website, its guidemap and social media.
